Between 2006 and 2007, I was Manager of Sustainability Services with SMEC - the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation – based in Perth but national in outlook, I led and managed the three programs in Sustainablity Services - Ecological Survey, Environmental Audit, and Renewable Energy and Greenhouse.

Work for SMEC included:

Contracted workshops on environmental change, global warming and business: presentations to a range of companies detailing the scientific basis of natural variability and human influence on climate change on the regional and global scale, and examining the business risks and opportunities in future carbon-constrained economies.

Contracted policy advice to WA State Government on climate change, global warming and business: advice to WA State Government detailing climate change science, and examining the business risks and opportunities in future carbon-constrained economies.

Natural resource management projects, Federal Government agency: delivering a range of services for ecological management of areas of federal government land in Western Australia including surveys for firebreak maintenance and other operational activities; monitoring programs to determine the sustainability of training areas, and fire management programs.
